How to transport an excavator when it becomes necessary to start earthworks at a construction site or vice versa. There are 2 ways to move equipment to another location:
However, each of them has a number of characteristic features, which must be considered individually. Moreover, for the implementation of transportation, you must adhere to strict conditions, the violation of which can cause serious problems.
1. With Special Towing Truck:
The Towing Truck should have a low own speed; not intended for driving on asphalt roads. With the use of a towing truck, the time spent on moving is significantly reduced, which speeds up the process of completing the planned work. Due to the fact that the range of special equipment is quite high, there are several varieties of trailers.
They differ in a number of operational characteristics: Load capacity is considered the most common classification. If the smallest one can take on board a maximum of 20-25 tons, then super-heavy modules can easily carry 100-110 tons. and are intended for the transportation of sea ships, space rockets, ancient buildings and other large-sized elements.
The height of the cargo area takes on a second role. There are low-frame, high-frame and low-bed towing trucks. Despite the fact that the difference between them is no more than 20 cm, sometimes it is necessary.
2. Transportation in the back of a truck
It is necessary to transport the backhoe loader for a distance of 250 km on a truck in the back.
Perhaps if you “lower” the wheels and lower the boom. Wheels must be removed! The “flattened” wheels may not be enough, and if you lower them completely, then you cannot pump them back up and you will have to overboard. If you transport equipment on a low frame (70 cm), then you don’t need to remove anything - you just need to lower the boom. The main thing is to look at the height limit along the entire route of the car.
On some foreign-made backhoe loaders, the wheels are tubeless. Based on this, we conclude: remove the wheels or just lower them.
